    Hi

In the Crawl stats section on Google webmaster tools I see that my "Time spent downloading a page" has dropped dramatically from the start of July but at the same time to 2 other graph became more active??

    What does that mean?

What can I analyse when looking at the 3 graph:

Number of pages crawled per day
Number of kilobytes downloaded per day
Time spent downloading a page (in milliseconds)

    Thanks for your help.

    Molle

well, having been looking into this the last week smile google will only spent a certain amount of time on your site, and the 'time spent downloading a page' gives exactly that, the average page parse time for your site.

Now, if you have quicker page parse times, then google can visit more pages withing the given time, hence, your other stats go up.

    Thanks freeflyer

I understand... but why has the graph suddenly changed when my site has not changed?

    Thanks

its not your site that has changed , but its probable that for some reason your pages ar now being served from the server quicker than before, enabling faster crawling and better indexing.
