I am working for a big credit insurance company. SEM is very new for us, and I am the guy who is learning it now. I have a question for anyone who knows and can really suggest about the following things:
1. How we can calculate what our lead actually worth (also here I am confused because our product is credit insurance and we don't just sell tangible goods like ecommerce sites do, so how we can do it?)
2. How we can actually effectively convert our leads into sales??
Please, I will appreciate any help.
Thank you in advance

How we can calculate what our lead actually worth...
You should probably talk to your accountant or CFO. That goes along with the "cost of doing business". Take how much you make per sale and then subtract all your expenses. Then figure out how many good leads it takes to make one sale. It's factors like those that need to be calculated properly in order to calculate what a lead is worth to your company.
effectively convert our leads into sales...
Your salespeople should know that. The sole job of Search Engine Marketing is to get the lead. Whether or not your salespeople follow up with those leads is another story.

Thanks for your help, I am starting to get a better picture now about this SEM thing. Do you think maybe also, that web marketing could actually maybe even help in saving some traditional marketing costs in the orgainisation??
Thanks
