New Online Community Building Series (FREE for the Public)
To meet the critical need for community in a time when physical distancing is required, CBI is offering several series for local residents of Milwaukee and Knoxville, Community Building Workshop Alumni, and Facilitators.
Public Circles of Connection Times
Join us for two public Circle Times where you can practice some of the guidelines you learned, receive support, and connect with others in a shared space. No previous Community Building Experience necessary.
If you’d be interested in future FREE Public Offerings, please email email@example.com as we will host more sessions like 8 Tips to Survive and Thrive When Home with Family, sessions on using Community Building in the workplace, and more Circles of Connection.
New Online Offerings for CBI Facilitators:
Starting in May, the 1st Thursday of each month will be an online Circle of Connection and the 3rd Thursday will be a training on a special topic and “Peace Stories” from the field.
If you are not currently a Facilitator for CBI, but are interested in becoming one, please contact firstname.lastname@example.org and we’ll be sure to send you information about our upcoming Facilitator Trainings.

People interested in personal and professional development, and in particular those interested in promoting civility, creating a welcoming community, and building genuine collaborations within Knoxville and East Tennessee communities, are encouraged to attend.

Listen in a new way and be more fully present to self and others
Overcome superficiality and obstacles to authentic communication
Bridge differences with respect and form genuine collaborations
Experience “unusual safety” and “extraordinary respect” with fellow participants
Overcome isolation or loneliness and build real connections with others
This workshop can help business, non-profit and community leaders to:
Build social capital and genuine relationships within diverse groups
Enhance leadership, team building, and employee engagement programs
Strengthen neighborhoods and restore civility
Transform equity and inclusion programs
Improve client outcomes by motivating resistant clients and reducing the impact of adverse childhood experiences (ACEs)
COST: To share the Community Building experience, workshops are FREE for Tennessee residents (a value of $595) thanks to the generosity of donors.
Please note: To encourage inclusivity, participants are strongly encouraged to share lunch with fellow participants each day of the workshop. All lunches and coffee/tea/snacks are provided for the duration of the workshop for $50 total. When you register, you’ll see the meal cost.
