SUMMARY:Global Online Circle (Monthly)
DESCRIPTION:Need a dose of peace and connection? Dip into the pool of Community. Every month a global circle of fellow Community Builders. One and a half hours. \nNote: For CBW and/or Art of Connection: CBST alumni only. Log-on for Virtual Event details. To learn more about these programs\, please click here.  No Registration Available\, Simply Log-on and Attend 🙂   \n\n\n\nThis Is What Will Happen During The Global Circle:\n\n\n\n\nFacilitators will do a brief introduction and review the purpose of our time together.\n\n\n\nWe will share our name\, where we were born\, where we live now\, and commit toconfidentiality.\n\n\n\nWe will review the guidelines and how Circle Time is a little different than the 3-day workshop.\n\n\n\nWe will then have 3 minutes of silence where you have time to think about what you will share.\n\n\n\nDuring the silence\, reflect on these questions:\n\n\n\n\n\nWhat are you feeling right now? What you feeling deeper under the surface?\n\n\n\nWhat is going on with you? What is going on in your life? What challenges are youfacing? How are you feeling about yourself and your life?\n\n\n\nWhat would you like for others to know about you?\n\n\n\nIs there anything you want to let go of and leave in the circle?\n\n\n\n\n6. After 3 minutes of silence\, you will be asked to speak if you are moved to speak. \n\n\n\nGuidelines for Communication\n\n\n\n\nUse “I” statements. Speak about yourself only.\n\n\n\nSpeak when moved to speak. Do not speak when not moved to speak.\n\n\n\nDo not fix others\, i.e.\, do not console\, teach\, preach or give advice.\n\n\n\nLeave time for Silence before and after someone speaks.\n\n\n\nBe mindful of how much time you speak. Allow time for others to share.\n\n\n\n\nNOTE: The facilitators may be more interactive than usual and offer suggestions and instructions due to our limited time together. \n\n\n\nThe Global Circle will be conducted in English. We expect to offer translation in the future. If you do not speak English\, you are still welcome to be in the circle and soak up the CB experience. The Global Circle will last 1 hour 15 minutes. Those people interested may stay online longer. \n\n\n\nAbout the Virtual Zoom Platform\n\n\n\n\nDon’t worry about how to work ZOOM. Your facilitators will help you if you need it.\n\n\n\nVideo ON during the global circle.\n\n\n\nBe aware of your background to avoid unnecessary distractions.\n\n\n\n\nOur Purpose/Goal: Build Connection and Community\n\n\n\n\nLet go of personal obstacles to being authentic.\n\n\n\nBuild trust and relationships with fellow participants.\n\n\n\nExperience the 4th stage of the CB process – true Community.

SUMMARY:Community Building Seminar Vigil
DESCRIPTION:We invite you to an extraordinary event in the field of Community Building – the Community Building Vigil. This will be a Community Building process intensified by an all-night vigil. \nIn his book A Different Drum\, Scott Peck recalls his most powerful spiritual experience\, which occurred right in the middle of such an all-night process. \nLack of sleep weakens the ego’s protective programs. Thanks to this\, we can get closer to our true essence\, gain insight into the real causes of our reactions\, or even move completely beyond them—into the flow of unconditional love. \nAll of this takes place within the Community Building process\, whose intention is to find and remove the barriers that prevent us from accepting ourselves and one another unconditionally\, just as we are. Through this\, we can experience a state of true Community—a group dynamic filled with mutual respect\, dignity\, and safety. \nDate: April 17–19\n (Start on Friday at 5:00 PM\, end on Sunday at 4:00 PM) \nVenue: Perníkovka Forest School and Kindergarten (Lidové sady\, Liberec) \nSeminar fee: CZK 3\,000–5\,000\, according to your financial means \nBank account: 2003448280/2010 \nFacilitated by: Vanda Marečková and team\n Organized by: Anna-Marie Heindorferová\n Language: Czech/ English\n Registration: via this link \nThe number of participants is limited. Please register by April 2\, 2026. \n(Registration is valid only after payment of a non-refundable deposit of CZK 2\,000 to the bank account: 2300696395 / 2010. Please include the note: Vigil 4/26\, surname.\n The deposit is non-refundable; however\, you may find a substitute participant. If the event does not take place\, the deposit will be refunded to you.)

SUMMARY:Community Building Workshop (CBW) Warsaw
DESCRIPTION:The CBW Classic is the original workshop format developed by Dr. Peck with a focus on experientially learning and experiencing Community Building guidelines and principles for personal\, spiritual and professional growth. \nThe CBW involves a group process aimed at deeper\, more authentic communication. Using a set of guidelines and principles rather than an agenda or particular procedure\, participants are gently guided by specially trained facilitators who take the group through a process that shows how to look beyond the cultural\, political and religious differences that prevent us from embracing our common humanity. During a CBW\, the ultimate goal of the group is to experience a deeper level of being in community

SUMMARY:The Art of Connections (CBST) Debrecen\, Hungary
DESCRIPTION:Welcome to Debrecen this March!\nA training devoted to the quiet\, courageous work of becoming a community\nDebrecen\, Hungary’s second-largest city\, with its vibrant university life and many-layered cultural rhythms\, offers a fitting backdrop for our time together. Here\, a group as diverse as the city itself will meet: people of different ages\, faiths\, life experiences\, and perspectives\, united by a shared intention — to move gently from separation toward connection. \nAcross three days\, we will explore the 14 guidelines that support real human meeting — practices that help a group remain safe\, honest\, and deeply attentive. Rather than settling for light\, effortless conversations\, we will learn what it means to arrive as we are\, to listen without defending\, and to let the unfolding of the community guide us. \nThese guidelines are not rigid instructions but doorways. They invite us to walk a path from distance into presence\, from assumption into understanding\, from polite coexistence into genuine encounter. \nThis gathering is an invitation to step into a space where differences are honored as openings\, not barriers — a space where we practice what our world so often longs for: choosing belonging over division. \nWe look forward to welcoming you in Debrecen. \n

SUMMARY:The Art of Authentic Connection – Community Building Retreat for Women\, Hungary (CBST)
DESCRIPTION:Women are a connective tissue of a community and have the ability to tune into the dynamics of relationships around them\, to make peace\, embrace different ways\, so that everyone feels heard\, called and recognized. We need to be masters of harmonizing the environment\, so that relationships flow in a loving way. \nMany of our relationship difficulties stem from one root. Generational patterns\, difficult past experiences and social norms are often behind disappointments\, misunderstandings and alienation. Nevertheless\, we can learn new ways of being and communicating that allow us to step out of the familiar patterns and experience connections that are truly meaningful and fulfilling. The purpose of the retreat is to experientially learn\, integrate and practice those key communication principles. \nThis retreat is about just that: what can we do to support real connection\, trust and intimacy? What happens when we take off our usual masks? \nThis three-day Retreat offers an immersive lived experience\, as well as practical guidelines and ways of being for creating safety\, a sense of mutual respect and deep connection in relationships. \nWe offer you a safe space and a like-minded community\, away from daily pressures and responsibilities\, where you can : \n\n experience yourself beyond social roles\,\n have the time to process your emotions and life events\,\n release stress\,\n gain invaluable insights into the relationship dynamics in your life\,\n learn the key ways of bringing your connections to a new soul-fulfilling level\,\n transform arguments into peace and loving connection.\n\nWe will follow the framework of the Community Building Process\, developed by the bestselling author M. Scott Peck. Practicing the suggested guidelines in day-to-day communication enhances a feeling of safety and belonging in relationships and helps build deep mutual respect\, intimacy and connection. We become better listeners and receive the gift of discovering our friends\, family and ourselves on a deeper human level. \n

SUMMARY:The Art of Connection – Budapest [CBST]
DESCRIPTION:“You cannot truly listen to anyone and do anything else at the same time.” \n/ Dr. M. Scott Peck \nWHO IS THIS FOR?\nThis training is for you if.. \n– You miss the experience of emotional closeness\, OR you want to experience it more often\n– You are interested in self-awareness\, and prefer a hands-on training format over long psychology lectures\n– You feel stuck in social isolation OR even though you DO have relationships\, something feels missing and you feel lonely\n– You’re fed up with superficial\, false connections OR you’re craving real\, deep connection\n– You don’t currently have a community where you feel truly held OR you miss the experience of being accepted without judgment\, just as you are\, and really being seen. \nWHAT WILL YOU LEARN?\nDuring the group process\, you will experience the dynamics and functions of the four stages (‘Pseudo-community’\, ‘Chaos’\, ‘Emptiness’\, and ‘True Community’) based on Dr. Scott Peck’s Community Building method. This method shows how a group can reach the experience of ‘true community’ by moving through these four stages. \nThis process can also help you recognize which stage you’re currently in within a particular life situation or relationship. By gaining this insight\, you will learn how to express your own needs and how to give feedback to others in a way that can truly be heard. \nDuring the three-day training\, you’ll receive specific\, practical guidelines for creating authentic presence\, emotional closeness\, and an unusual sense of safety. The experiences and tools from this training can be applied immediately in your personal relationships. \nThrough practice\, in REAL-LIFE situations\, you can… \n– …develop your emotional intelligence (to better understand WHY you and others struggle to find common ground) \n– …hone your skills for mutual understanding and acceptance \n– …achieve and maintain authentic connections with the people that matter most to you \nWHO LEADS THE TRAINING?\n– The lead facilitator of the training is Edward Groody [US]\, founder of Community Building International\, head instructor for professional training in this method. Edward worked alongside Dr. Scott Peck (founder of the method) for 20 years and has over 20 additional years of experience in organizational development\, training and facilitation. Edward is currently one of the most experienced and authentic living facilitators of Dr. Peck’s method who is still actively leading processes. \nWHAT TO EXPECT?\nThe training alternates between:\n– Experiential exercises (in pairs and small groups)\n– ‘Circle time’ sessions\, where you will be able to put the newly learned principles into practice with other participants in real-time. The group will collectively participate in a 3-day group process designed to lead you toward experiencing ‘True Community’—the core goal of Dr. Peck’s method. \nLANGUAGE\n– The training will be conducted in Hungarian with simultaneous English interpretation (by a trusted interpreter who has extensive experience with the method and has worked with us for years). The training is open to both English and Hungarian speakers—our groups usually include a mix of local and international participants. \nDATE & TIME\n24th October\, Friday | 9:00 AM –\n26th October\, Sunday | 5:00 PM \nLOCATION\nLáng Cultural Center\n(3-minute walk from Forgách Street Metro station)\nBudapest\, Rozsnyay Street 3\, 1139.\nGoogle Maps link \nFEE\n310 – 400 EUR (contact organizers for F. SUMMARY:“The Taste of Community: Building Authentic Connections (the method of M.Scott Peck)”
DESCRIPTION:Which dynamics do you experience the most in your relationships?\nDo you feel like trying to prove your truth\, or do you feel seen and deeply acknowledged?\n \nIn this topic group\, we can explore the meaning of Community and the four stages that characterize our relationships. We will also have the experience of “Listening from Emptiness”\, which is a central skill of the Community Building Process and is necessary for building authentic relationships\, creating unusual safety\, and extraordinary respect. \n\n\n\nThe Community Building Process was developed by M. Scott Peck M.D.\, a renowned author of “The Road Less Traveled” and “The Different Drum” in response to the level of polarization\, isolation\, and the loss of civility. It is a method of open\, authentic communication in groups\, which for more than two decades has empowered hundreds of people with skills and the experience of healthy\, safe\, and honest communication\, deep\, authentic connection\, and mutual respect. The method is used in various social spheres\, in personal development\, human services\, in NGOs\, and well as business. It teaches how to look beyond the cultural\, political\, and religious differences that prevent us from embracing our common humanity.\n \nThe Mission of Community Building International is to encourage people and groups to connect and heal in “True Community”\, so that they thrive and experience peace and belonging.

SUMMARY:Community Building Workshop - Wrocław
DESCRIPTION:Your task is not to seek for love\, but merely to seek and find all the barriers within yourself that you have built against it.— Rumi________________\n\nOrganized by The Living Bridge in cooperation with CBI and TuMów!\, The Community Building Workshop is for anyone who is curious to experientially discover what real community can be like.\n\nIt is for all of those wishing to journey into the unknown. It’s for learning and practicing new tools in real-time which build deep connection and relationality. It is a process for becoming aware of and releasing the obstacles which stand as barriers to authentic connection.________________\n\nABOUT THE PROCESS\n\nM Scott Peck\, renowned psychotherapist and author (The Road Less Traveled\, The Different Drum)\, concerned about the state of today’s divided world\, saw the loss of authentic community as the root cause of social problems and global conflicts. In response\, he developed a potent tool – the Community Building Workshop – to help us meet again\, in an atmosphere of trust and respect\, to regain our sense of community.\n\nBut there are many other ways to look at this process – it is simultaneously a type of mindfulness exercise\, a practice of relational contemplation\, a deep and intense inner journey into the depths of self-discovery\, and even a community rite of passage\, initiation\, collective ceremony of grieving and renewal\, and a transpersonal experience.\n\nToday\, this tool is used in many intentional communities and social programs around the world. M. Scott Peck’s legacy is currently carried out by Community Building International\, offering workshops for participants and trainings for facilitators.________________\n\nINVITATION\n\nDuring the workshop\, under the care of experienced guides (facilitators)\, we will be learning special communication guidelines and have the chance to move through 4 phases of the process: (Pseudo-Community\, Chaos\, Emptiness & True Community).\nTrue community is understood as an experience of deep respect and connection\, while fully accepting and celebrating the individual differences of each member. This is the experience of being seen\, heard and fully received in your authenticity\, as well as seeing\, hearing and receiving the Other. In addition it helps develop skills such as:\n Authentic communication\, deep listening and speaking from being “moved to speak” – building relationships based on honesty and vulnerability. Taking responsibility for our own emotions and experiences and more intimately understanding their origins and impact on our behavior. “Graceful fighting” – skillful navigation in moments of conflict & better understanding of the role of chaos. Deepening insights into our own barriers to authentic relationships\, unconscious patterns of behavior\, hidden agendas or intentions and how to release & transform them. Deepening the experience and understanding of interconnected nature of reality. Being present\, mindful and accepting\, letting go of the need to fix anyone or change anything. Expanding emotional and ethical intelligence; allowing our own and others’ feelings to emerge\, accepting them with curiosity and understanding.\n\nLearn more about this event and Community Building on our website________________\n\nWHO IS IT FOR?\n\nWe invite everyone who wants to build more authentic relationships\, intentional communities\, gain insights about their relational selves\, learn how to move beyond pseudo-community in their social groups. It may be especially interesting for people who create organizations\, community organizers\, group work practitioners\, but really it is for anyone interested in human connection\, psychology\, or peace-making.________________\n\nFACILITATORS\n\nVanda Marečková: Senior Facilitator and sole European Facilitator-Trainer for Community Building International.“All my life I have observed how communication channels between people fail. Despite good efforts\, misunderstandings and conflicts repeatedly arise and I am part of them. The need to understand myself and others well has led me to different places\, cultures\, learning different languages\, trying out different professions and roles. I have found a real tool to see people and to be seen as a human being in the Community Building method. It was only here that I found the answer\, the direction and the hope that the possibility of True Community is not just a dream.”Mother of three and co-founder of the first forest kindergarten in Moravia\, Vanda spends her time as a special educator at a Community School in Tišnov. She works with the ORBA project where she creates performance art\, writes music\, and sings.\n\nVanda will co-facilitate the workshop with a team of CBI trained facilitators.________________\n\nDATES\n\nThe workshop will take place on Friday March 28th-30th\, 2025\, with the following schedule:\n\nFriday: 9:00 AM – 5:00 PMSaturday: 9:00 AM – 5:00 PMSunday: 9:00 AM – 4:30 PM\n\nEach day we will have several shorter breaks and one 1\,5h long lunch break. Be sure to arrive early.\n\nNote – It is not possible to participate only in part of the workshop. When signing up for the workshop\, you must be able to participate in the entire workshop from start to finish.________________\n\n LOCATION\n\nTuMów!\, ul. Ruska 51B/317\, 50-079 Wrocław (Pasaż Niepolda)\nThanks to the kindness and generosity of the school’s hosts\, we have the opportunity to meet in the heart of Wrocław – very well connected to every part of the city!________________\n\n LANGUAGE – English________________\n\n MEALS\n\nWe provide tea\, coffee and snacks during breaks; please bring your own lunch or use one of the many nearby restaurants.________________\n\n COST\n\nWe are happy to offer this workshop in the spirit of a Gift Economy. SUMMARY:Community Building Workshop (CBW) in Latvia (PUBLIC)
DESCRIPTION:The Community Building Workshop (CBW) is the original workshop format developed by Dr. During a CBW\, the ultimate goal of the group is to experience a deeper level of being in community. \nThis is a PUBLIC workshop. \nRegistration:  For more information and to register for this workshop\, please contact the organizer:  Arina Matvejeva (arina.matvejeva@gmail.com) \nNote: Please fill out the Required Participation Waivers below in the RSVP. \n

SUMMARY:CBW in Slovakia (PUBLIC)
DESCRIPTION:The Community Building Workshop (CBW) is the original workshop format developed by Dr. During a CBW\, the ultimate goal of the group is to experience a deeper level of being in community. \nThis is a PUBLIC event. \nDate/Times: Tuesday (8.10.) 8:30 – 17:30 Wednesday (9.10.) 8:30 – 17:30 Thursday (10.10.) 8:30 – 16:00 \nEvent Facilitators: Edward Groody\, Dominik Markoš \nRegistration:   \n\nFor more information\, please contact the event organizer: Andrea Mikolasikova (andrea@mikolasik.sk).\nTo register\, please click here. SUMMARY:Community Building Workshop (CBW) in Milwaukee
