SUMMARY:CBST: Community Building - Die Kunst der Begegnung.
Was ist Zuhören? Aus welchem Impuls spreche ich? Was regt mich auf?

SUMMARY:Warsztat Budowania Wspólnoty+ W Kręgu z Naturą | Community Building Workshop+ In Circles with Nature | Poland
Praktyka ta oferuje wskazówki\, a także żywe doświadczenie dochodzenia w grupie do stanu Prawdziwej Wspólnoty\, czyli stanu bezpieczeństwa i głębokiego wzajemnego szacunku. Emilia łączy w swoim działaniu rozwój osobisty i głęboką ekologię. Pracuje jako psycholożka i trenerka z grupami i indywidualnie z osobami. Jest absolwentką m.in. psychologii na Uniwersytecie Jagiellońskim\, kursu nauczycielskiego Mindfulness (MBLC) i Kursu Compassion (Mindfulness Association UK)\, Holistycznej Szkoły Trenerów. Należy do zespołu Szkoły Integralnej Ekopsychologii.\nAsia Gumieniak i Danny Iacono. Współtwórcy The Living Bridge — fundacji wspierającej rozwój relacyjności\, wzajemności i wrażliwości w przestrzeniach międzyludzkich. Łączą różne podejścia do pracy z relacjami i wspólnotą. Z wykształcenia socjologowie\, aktualnie zgłębiający praktyki zakorzenione w relacyjności. U Asi to: eko-terapia (Pacifica Graduate Institute)\, Authentic Relating oraz socjokracja (Sociocracy For All). U Danny’ego m.in mito-poetyka\, story-telling (Mythic Body by Josh Shrei) oraz pogłębione rozmowy w “The Passing Through Podcast”\, którego jest twórcą i gospodarzem.\nW zespole znajdą się również facylitatorzy będący w procesie szkolenia.___________________________________\n\n\n MIEJSCE\nGospodarstwo Regenerowane Dolina Dzikiej Czereśni w Laskach koło Kłodzka. To piękne siedlisko położone w malowniczej krainie Sudetów Środkowych\, nieopodal Kotliny Kłodzkiej — otoczone polami\, łąkami i lasami. Zabierz namiot\, śpiwór i karimatę. To coś innego. Grupa uruchamia we mnie lęk przed odrzuceniem\, przed oceną i pewnie jeszcze wiele innych lęków. Najważniejsze czego doświadczyłam to fakt\, że ryzyko podejmowane w wyrażaniu swojej prawdy i wrażliwości zbliża do innych osób\, choć wymaga odwagi aby to ryzyko podjąć.”\n\n_____________________________________________________________\n\n\n— ENGLISH —\n\n\n“…our own future is inseparable from the future of the larger community that brought us into being.”— Thomas Berry\n\n\nA 4-day Community Building Workshop in the M. Scott Peck tradition\, expanded to include practices of developing intimacy and relationship with the more-than-human world.\n\n\nWe live in urgent times\, times of distance and separation. In such a reality\, a genuine encounter with another person is no longer something to be taken for granted. One of our focuses is to help others re-learn the tools for effective communication between humans\, to engender the feelings of unusual safety and extraordinary respect which can provide a genuine experience of connection.\nAt the same time\, our connection to the natural world from which we come — and upon which we depend — is fractured. Many of us have forgotten that we are not separate from nature\, we are nature. In a culture so focused on progress\, and productivity\, so distracted and overstimulated by information coming at us through a digital landscape\, we suffer a collective amnesia which isolates us from not just one another\, but from our watersheds and life-giving oceans\, forests\, and the stars in the night sky which might guide us in the dark. Building community with each other is an essential first step\, but we believe we are being asked to rebuild our sense of planetary belonging: to rediscover our place in the biosphere and rejoin the wider earth community.\n\n\n INVITATION\nDuring the Community Building Process in the tradition of M. Scott Peck\, we learn how to create the conditions for a true encounter. We learn how to navigate what is non-obvious\, alive\, and often uncomfortable in relationships\, without the need to immediately solve or control whatever arises. This practice offers practical guidance as well as a lived experience of a group arriving at a state of what he calls True Community — a state of safety and extraordinary mutual respect. It is a form of group meditation\, a shared being-with-what-is\, in which both tensions and the potential for deeper connection gradually reveal themselves. This process allows us to see what ordinarily remains hidden beneath habitual communication patterns and social roles\, and creates space to try being with one another in a different way. Read more about the process here: https://www.thelivingbridge.earth/community_building…\nDuring this workshop we also aim to explore the potential for achieving a state of community with the nonhuman world. Each day\, we will invite you to sit in a circle and practice developing awareness with what surrounds us\, expanding our experience of connection\, relationship\, and belonging with the natural world.\n\n REGISTRATION: https://forms.gle/VZyoUGdWdVFdZh576___________________________________\n\n\n\n ABOUT THE COMMUNITY BUILDING METHOD\nThe Community Building Process was developed in the second half of the 20th century by psychiatrist and author Dr. M. Scott Peck as a response to growing polarization\, loneliness\, and isolation in modern societies. Peck saw the loss of authentic community as one of the main sources of social problems and conflict. He developed a set of communication guidelines that support rebuilding trust\, safety\, and a sense of community within a group. Workshop participants have the opportunity both to learn these principles and to experience them directly. Since the late 20th century\, the method has been developed and adapted for various contexts from organizations and intentional communities\, to work with marginalized groups\, to environments affected by conflict. Today\, this work is continued by Community Building International — an organization founded by Scott Peck’s student Edward Groody — which offers\, among other things\, facilitator training.More at: https://communitybuilding.com/___________________________________\n\n\n FACILITATION\nThe workshop will be led by a team of facilitators trained\, certified\, and supervised by Community Building International:Emilia Ślimko-Tywoniuk. Together with her husband\, she co-creates the Wild Cherry Valley project in Laski\, near Kłodzko. Emilia integrates personal development and deep ecology in her work. She works as a psychologist and trainer with both groups and individuals. She is a graduate of psychology at the Jagiellonian University\, the Mindfulness Teaching Course (MBLC) and the Compassion Course (Mindfulness Association UK)\, and the Holistic Trainers’ School. She is a member of the Integral Ecopsychology School team.\nAsia Gumieniak and Danny Iacono. Co-founders of The Living Bridge — a foundation supporting the development of relationality\, reciprocity\, and connectivity in human spaces. They combine various approaches to working with relationships and community. Both are sociologists by training\, currently deepening practices rooted in relationality. Asia’s include: eco-therapy (Pacifica Graduate Institute)\, Authentic Relating\, and Sociocracy (Sociocracy For All). Danny’s include mythopoetics and storytelling (Mythic Body by Josh Shrei)\, as well as deep conversations on The Passing Through Podcast\, of which he is the creator and host.\nThe team will also include facilitators who are in the process of their training.___________________________________\n\n\n VENUE\nDolina Dzikiej Czereśni (Wild Cherry Valley) Regenerative Farm in Laski near Kłodzko. It is a beautiful homestead situated in the picturesque landscape of the Central Sudetes\, near the Kłodzko Valley\, surrounded by fields\, meadows\, and forests. The workshop will take place partly in a yurt—ensuring the privacy and comfort of sitting in a circle—and partly in the vast natural landscape of the Valley and its diverse ecosystems\, where we will be able to establish and deepen a relationship with nature.\nTime in the Valley will also be a great opportunity to get a firsthand look at regenerative farming methods — from growing ancient grain varieties (einkorn\, emmer wheat)\, to beekeeping\, a backyard henhouse & chicken-tractor\, and a vegetable garden. On site\, there will be outdoor composting toilets and showers.___________________________________\n\n\n WHO IS IT FOR?\nWe invite everyone who wants to build more authentic relationships\, gain insight into themselves and their relational self\, learn how to move beyond pseudo-community and chaos in their social groups\, and also experience deeper connection with more-than-human nature. The workshop may be of particular interest to people who work with groups or co-create organizations and communities — but it is truly for anyone who is ready to be present and meet whatever arises. No experience or preparation is required. Experience shows that this workshop — through encountering a different way of being — can be a turning point which contributes to enduring changes in our relationships in everyday life. If you feel this might be for you but have questions or doubts\, feel free to write to us!___________________________________\n\n\n LOGISTICS\n\n\nDATES\nArrival: Wednesday\, July 8th in the evening\, we’ll start with light supper and brief orientation in the space.\nStart of the workshop: Thursday\, July 9th at 9:00 AMEnd: Sunday\, July 12th at 5:00 PM\nDue to the nature of the process\, partial attendance is not possible. A space where chaos and ’emptying out’ are welcome\, even necessary. Where each person can safely express what is alive in them and in need of expression. I was surprised by how little it took for me to become attached to specific people and to stay in touch after the workshop\, while at the same time a sense of something greater than the sum of individuals stayed with me for a long time. What was new and unique happened somehow between us: beyond what each person brought individually. For me it was an experience of what can emerge when we truly meet\, and how deeply needed and powerful that is. I would love to experience this ‘magic’ more often. (…) I feel deeply moved and inspired.”“It’s hard to put into words what this experience actually is. For me it differs from other forms of group work or therapy\, from personal development workshops or family constellations. It is something else. Very powerful\, and at the same time natural\, organic\, and deeply human.”“The workshop was a very important time for me\, one in which I was able to genuinely experience how deeply similar we are to one another\, at a profound level. Being in a group of strangers had always been a challenge for me and a source of tension and stress. It was hard for me to feel safe. Groups trigger in me a fear of rejection\, of judgment\, and probably many other fears. The experience of the Community Building Workshop was a breakthrough for me\, because it is one thing to know something theoretically\, and quite another to be able to experience in your body a sense of safety built on deep connection\, on courageously expressed truth.”“What moves me most is truth. Space for truth and authenticity is so enormously important. The most important thing I experienced was the fact that the risk taken in expressing your truth and vulnerability brings you closer to others\, though it takes courage to take that risk.”

SUMMARY:Monthly Community Building Circle (Germany)
DESCRIPTION:Ongoing meetings for everyone who wants to stick with it and continue to bring the art of encounters into everyday life. \nYou are welcome to take part in the regular circle if you have taken part in at least one workshop or community building skills training. And want to stick with it. Because that’s what it’s all about: continuing to practice community building and incorporating it into everyday life. \nWe come together in a circle – similar to the classic community building workshop – and follow Scott Peck’s discussion recommendations. \nPlease send us a short email if you would like to take part: servus@ammerseeinstitut.de or register via this link:  https://www.ammerseeinstitut.de/event-details/monatlicher-cb-circle \nFrequency/participation \n\nOnce a month\nCommitment: We recommend regular participation\, but it is also possible to come only now and then.\nAnyone who has already taken part in a workshop or community building skills training or who has received an introduction can take part.\n\nLength of time: 5 hours \nCost: Contribution to expenses\, depending on financial possibilities\, 30 – 50 euros \nWorkshop format \n\nEssentially\, the format is very similar to that of the community building workshop\, i.e. there will mainly be time in a circle and the group will be based on Scott Peck’s discussion recommendations.\nWe try out different forms of accompaniment. In addition to the classic form\, the “Group of all leaders” has proven successful – i.e. a process without a facilitator or only with very selective input\nDepending on the wishes and needs of the group\, we also include exercises from our method kit\, the community building skills training.

SUMMARY:Community Building Workshop At Mokri Potok Ecovillage (Slovenia)
DESCRIPTION:“It is a serious thing to be alive on this fresh morning in this broken world.” — Mary Oliver\n\nSeparation. Scarcity. A crisis of belonging. These are what we have inherited from the structures of power and economy in our modern era. We face a loneliness epidemic\, societal unravelling\, unprecedented biodiversity loss and historic wealth inequality.\nIn this current climate\, things can often seem hopeless. It can feel like there are no viable alternatives. But this isn’t the first time humans have faced collapse. In reality\, there are alternatives. Tools and methods exist which can help us build resilience\, solidarity\, and mutual flourishing for all beings — not just humans. Techniques to build authentic connection\, unusual safety and extraordinary respect have been identified and are waiting to be adopted and put into shared practice.\nCommunity in this sense of the word moves beyond a simple noun\, or thing\, and becomes intentional and active: an actual lived experience of deep relationship with ourselves\, each other\, and the wider ecology in which we live.\n\n INVITATION\nWe invite you into exactly this kind of experience which will take place at Mokri Potok\, an eco-village in Slovenia\, where people are continuously exploring what it means to live in relationship\, with each other and with the land. During the Community Building Process in the tradition of M. Scott Peck\, we learn how to create the conditions for a true encounter. We learn how to navigate what is non-obvious\, alive\, and often uncomfortable in relationships\, without the need to immediately solve or control whatever arises. Over 4 days\, under the caring guidance of trained facilitators\, we will immerse ourselves in this process. We will explore ways of being together which support deeper self-insight\, authenticity\, trust\, respect\, and collaboration. We will learn practical guidelines for passing through the phases of the process — from pseudo-community (where we are pleasant to one another\, but relationships remain fairly surface-level)\, through chaos and emptiness\, all the way to true community (where we might feel a deep bond\, respect\, or even love\, despite our differences).\nRead more about the process here: https://www.thelivingbridge.earth/community_building…\n REGISTRATION: https://forms.gle/9FQPFiDSwcLM1UGB7___________________________________\n\n ABOUT THE METHOD\nThe Community Building Process was developed in the second half of the 20th century by psychiatrist and author Dr. M. It is a relatively remote and peaceful place\, surrounded by small streams\, gentle hills\, and a few open meadows. The nearest town with services\, Kočevje\, is about 15 km away. The ecovillage currently consists of four family homes\, with plans to gradually expand to around seven family houses or small homesteads\, together with shared community spaces. At the event location there is an open outdoor kitchen where we will prepare our meals\, a large tipi for evening gatherings around the fire\, and a yurt where the workshop will take place. On the land you will also find compost toilets and solar showers. A nearby stream offers a refreshing place for washing or cooling down during breaks. There will be a designated area nearby for setting up tents (please bring your own tent and sleeping equipment). As the venue is located in higher altitude nights can be fresh. The surrounding forests are home to abundant wildlife\, and it is not uncommon to see deer passing quietly through the landscape.\n__________________________________\n\n WHO IS IT FOR?\nWe invite everyone who wants to build more authentic relationships\, gain insight into themselves and their relational self\, and learn how to move beyond pseudo-community and chaos in their social groups. When registering for the event\, you will have the option to coordinate car sharing with other participants. The drive from Ljubljana takes about one hour. The final 1.5 km is a gravel forest road\, which is usually accessible with a regular car. If you prefer to travel by public transport\, the closest town is Kočevje\, about 15 km from the venue. Kočevje can be reached from Ljubljana by train or bus. From there\, we will be happy to arrange a pickup and bring you to Mokri Potok.\n\nCOSTWe are learning to build a culture of reciprocity and gratitude\, and so we wish to offer this workshop in the spirit of a gift economy.
