Community Building Workshop (CBW) “Authentic Connection” Budapest
The CBW is a workshop developed by M. Scott Peck based on thirty years of observation. It’s an invitation to learn, not merely through intellect, but through direct experience.
At its heart, the CBW is a shared journey toward deeper and more authentic communication. Rather than relying on rigid agendas or prescribed techniques, it rests upon a simple but demanding set of principles and guidelines. Within this structure, participants are gently accompanied by trained facilitators, whose role is not to direct, but to hold the space in which truth may gradually emerge.
As the process unfolds, individuals are encouraged—often challenged—to look beyond the familiar boundaries of culture, politics, and religion. In doing so, they begin to encounter one another not as roles or identities, but as fellow human beings. This movement, from fragmentation toward wholeness, lies at the core of the experience.
The ultimate aim of a CBW is not the exchange of ideas, but the transformation of relationship: the discovery, however fleeting, of what it means “true community”—where honesty replaces pretense, and connection arises from the courage to be seen and to see others as they are.
