โ€œThere is a longing for peace in the heart. Because of the wounds and rejections we have experienced in the past, we are afraid to take the risk of laying down our defences. Yet there are ways in which people can meet again โ€“ ways to heal old wounds.โ€ โ€“ M. Scott Peck

We invite you to a three-day Community Building Skills Training โ€“ a unique experience based on the method developed by M. Scott Peck and led by Edward Groody, his direct student, in accordance with the Community Building International methodology.
This is not a workshop on how to create the perfect community. It is an invitation to explore what happens when we begin to truly encounter ourselves and one another โ€“ without masks, judgement or the need to pretend that everything is fine. Because an authentic connection with others begins with a connection with ourselves. It starts with whether I can recognise what Iโ€™m feeling. Whether I can talk about it. Whether I can listen โ€“ not to reply, persuade or fix things, but to truly hear.
These skills matter not only within a group. They can transform the quality of our relationships, first and foremost with ourselves, with our partner, family, friends, the people who are important to us and the world around us.
During the workshop, weโ€™ll experience the transition from a so-called โ€˜pseudo-communityโ€™ โ€“ where everyone is nice, but relationships often remain superficial โ€“ to a deeper sense of closeness, trust and genuine connection. Itโ€™s a place where we like each other less and love each other more. A place where all our different sides are welcome, where you can finally relax. Although the process itself may not be easy, as we face the truth.
โ€” get to know yourself better and understand how you form relationships,
โ€” develop the ability to listen and express what really matters,
โ€” examine what prevents you from making genuine connections,
โ€” learn to navigate conflicts differently,
โ€” experience being truly seen and heard,
โ€” build deeper and more authentic relationships.
We donโ€™t promise it will be easy. But weโ€™ll create an environment thatโ€™s safe and authentic.
Over three days, weโ€™ll learn and experience together what an authentic community can look like โ€“ one based on trust, respect, mindfulness and a willingness to connect with others. Weโ€™ll learn communication tools that support this process, based on 14 guidelines.

This training is a group experience for people who want to build closeness, as well as a culture of cooperation, support and authentic communication within their community, group, organisation or personal relationships.
It is also designed for those wishing to embark on a path to becoming a facilitator, as well as for those who want to practise the skills of effective, intimate communication that enable them to build bonds with themselves and others.
The training will consist of theoretical content, practical exercises in pairs and groups, and the Community Building process according to Scott Peck.
If you feel that you want to be in a deeper relationship โ€“ with yourself, your loved ones and the people around you, perhaps this is the space for you.
Youโ€™re welcome to join us. We canโ€™t wait to see you and look forward to building a community with you!ย โค๏ธ
